This is also due to the fabulous fabrics. For the small ready-to-wear label, which tailors luxurious everyday and evening wear, the quality of materials (silk, cotton, cashmere, naturally tanned leather) has top priority. "This is particularly important if a textile is to become a favourite item," says the 26-year-old, who studied at the Munich Academy of Fashion & Design and worked for companies such as Talbot Runhof, Escada and Allude - before starting her own company in 2013. "We select all fabrics and ingredients by hand and produce in small quantities in Munich." Many textiles are eco-certified; they are only manufactured locally in first-class manufactories. And by the way: If a part in one size is no longer available, it can be recut on request.

At Lilly Ingenhoven, only women are responsible for design, production, logistics and marketing. They all understand the meaning of their credo: "If you trust your heart, wonderful things will happen."
