More and more care is being taken to ensure environmental sustainability and social commitment, and above all to ensure that hotels use nature's resources with the greatest possible care. MUKUL, NICARAGUA

Interior designer Paul Duesing worked with Nicaraguan craftsmen to create furniture and works of art that reflect the country's traditions: Carved teak tables, beds in used Flor de Caña rum barrels, clay ceramic lamp bases from nearby Masaya volcano. Great importance is placed on the use of local materials in the construction of Mukul, and to the lowest possible environmental impact.
